When Playing Cards at the Poker Table, Keep a Winning Attitude

If you intend to have more chances to win a game of poker then you have to constantly try and keep a winning attitude. Be always rational and avoid emotions that can influent your game. Being optimist is the key no matter what. The tilting part is only the first step in developing a poker attitude that can actually help your game, or at least that can avoid interfering with it.

First try and use psychology. It is said, and demonstrated that when we actually expect something to happen it surely will. This doesnt mean we influence odds or luck, it just means that, not knowing, we are playing just the right way in order to follow out expected purpose. If you use this wrong and go and play poker with the thought in you head that you are once more going to lose a lot of money, or that you are a bad player and everyone will see that, then be sure that this strong belief of your will be reflected upon the outcome of your actions. You will unconsciously play bad, so bad that you might even go on tilt, because your mind has to prove itself what it believes so hardly: the fact that you will indeed lose. And believe you will, and not just pocket change, you will loose a lot when you start playing poker and expect to lose. If, on the other hand you will enter the poker room happy and eager, then you will automatically play your best and because we all are good at what we enjoy doing you will most likely win a lot. The best thing to do is to somehow force ourselves to focus on happy thought and to convince ourselves that we are winners no matter what.

Then, the second important thing is to have confidence. You must know your strategies well but that is not enough. You must somehow find the power and the means to have confidence in you own moves and thought because otherwise you wont be able to apply the right strategy at the right time. Choose strategies well and be ware of emotions. This doesnt mean that you shouldnt fell happy when you win or sad when you lose. This only means that you have to understand that emotions cant influent the cards that are dealt in any way. They can only get in the way of your mind making the right decisions. So if you plan on playing poker for a while and make some money or at least have some fun, then you must look in the mirror until you can see the winner in you and leave all emotions aside as they are a luggage you wont need in poker.
